Job Title: Software Engineer

Location: Littleton, CO

Type of Role: Full Time/ Direct Hire

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Software Engineer will support the full software development lifecycle, including designing, developing, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining software applications. The role focuses on developing reliable software solutions that meet business and mission requirements while collaborating with system users and cross-functional engineering teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
\n
• Design, develop, document, test, debug, and maintain software applications.
\n
• Develop software solutions that address business and mission requirements using logical and mathematical programming concepts.
\n
• Apply established software development standards, processes, procedures, methodologies, and tools.
\n
• Analyze business requirements, system specifications, and user needs to develop effective software solutions.
\n
• Apply knowledge of computer hardware, software, programming techniques, and information processing systems to support application development.
\n
• Troubleshoot and correct program errors, defects, and performance issues.
\n
• Develop and maintain operating instructions, technical documentation, and program development documentation.
\n
• Analyze system capabilities and requirements to resolve questions related to program intent, inputs, outputs, data acquisition, programming techniques, and system controls.
\n
• Collaborate with system users and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure software meets operational needs.
\n
• Conduct software testing and debugging to validate functionality, performance, and reliability.
\n
• Ensure all software development activities and deliverables comply with applicable standards, procedures, and quality requirements.
\n

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

\n
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computing Engineering, or related subject area
\n
• Exposure to writing software code in one or more of the following languages:
\n
• Python, LabVIEW, TestStand, C++
\n
• Must be a US Citizen.
\n

DESIRED SKILLS:

\n
• Experience with electronics lab equipment. For example, Power Supplies, Electronic Loads, Digital Multi-Meter, Mi-function Input/Output module
\n
• Experience with Software Version Control Systems. For example, git, GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab.
\n
• Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle
\n
• Experience working with a software development team
\n
